Celebrity couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are expecting their second child soon, and according to Kutcher, he’s not getting to name the child.

In an interview on Wednesday night with Conan O’Brien, Kutcher revealed that he wanted to name the child Hawkeye, but Kunis refused the idea.

“There was a rallying cry from a collective that believed in the name Hawkeye,” he explained. “I’m an Iowan, to have a kid named Hawkeye [after the University of Iowa football team], and it’s like, MASH. He could be a doctor!”

MASH was a TV show in the 80s about 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in the Korean War, and featured a character named Benjamin “Hawkeye” Pierce.

However, all this had no bearing whatsoever on Kunis.

“Hawkeye Kutcher didn’t fly,” the Two And A Half Men star continued. “Didn’t get across the Mila threshold. It came to the threshold but then it got knocked down.”

Mila already has a name for the baby, who Kutcher revealed last month was a boy.

“We have a name dialed in which we’ve had for a while,” he told O’Brien on Wednesday. “The problem is if you get the name too soon, there can be slight trepidation around the name. So the other day Mila was like, ‘Do you still like the name?’ I was like, ‘Yeah.'”

“Why was it the high-pitched ‘Yeah’?” she responded. “Why wasn’t it the low-pitched ‘Yeah’?”

“And I was like, ‘Well, you like the name, right?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah.’ And I was like, ‘Wait, why did you say it like that?'” he continued. “So now we’re like, ‘Maybe we don’t like the name,’ even though we both love the name. So — I think we have the name.”

Whatever they decide to name the baby, we’ll be waiting. Kutcher whispered the name to Kelly Pipa last month while co-hosting Live!. She approved, so we’re excited!

The couple are already parents to a 2-year old girl, Wyatt Isabelle.
