The FBI has cleared actor Brad Pitt following claims that he had abused one of his children aboard a plane, the agency has revealed.
The allegations had been made by Pitt’s ex-wife Angelina Jolie, who claimed that the Fury star had hit 15-year old Maddox aboard a flight from France to Los Angeles in September.
“In response to allegations made following a flight… carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation,” the agency said in a statement.
“No charges have been filed in this matter.”
The L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services had earlier also cleared Pitt’s name in the incident, after they had interviewed the couple, their six children and witnesses.
41-year old Jolie had filed for divorce from 59-year old actor in September, citing irreconcilable differences as she put an end to Brangelina. The Maleficent star wants sole custody of their kids, while he is fighting for joint physical and legal custody.
