One of the most loved TV shows in the history of TV shows is the iconic comedy Friends, with fans always clamoring for a reunion.

The show’s original cast — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow — have on multiple occasions in the past, shut down the possibility of a reunion. In a recent interview, Aniston gave what might be the most solid reason yet.

“I don’t know what we would do,” the Horrible Bosses star said. “I think that period of time was sort of nostalgic, you know?”

“There’s something about a time where our faces weren’t shoved into cell phones and we weren’t, like, checking Facebooks and Instagrams, and we were in a room together — or at a coffee shop together — and we were talking,” she continued. “And we’ve lost that.”

She is however proud that the show was the comic relief it was to many for so many years. “Not only was it a gift for us, but it’s something people have been able to carry with them,” she said. “It’s comfort food and it makes them feel better when they are feeling down when they want to distract themselves.”

In another interview with Chelsea Handler on her Netflix show, Chelsea, Aniston revealed that she’d love to try at her hands at playing a superhero.

“I would be psyched!” she said. “But I would want to be the really uncoordinated superhero because I just — I couldn’t take myself seriously leaping out of somewhere in a full leather something.”

Do you agree with Aniston? Would a Friends reunion be as funny in this technology-age?
