Kano Pillars suffered a surprise home defeat to Akwa United in their Nigerian Premier League match, and their fans didn’t take it lightly.

The Pillars rarely ever lose at home, and a 19th minute goal from Akwa United’s Christian Pyagbara was the only goal of the match.

The home fans began to launch missiles and projectiles after the match, attacking the referee as well as players and officials of Akwa United. They had to wait in the dressing room for security officials to arrive to prevent further injury.
