Various reports across the internet are suggesting that rapper Kanye West has been hospitalized.
This is coming just hours after Kanye cancelled all 21 remaining tour stops on his The Saint Pablo Tour. There has been no official statement from his camp, leading to a plethora of possible scenarios all over.
According to the New York Times, the Los Angeles Police responded to a phone call from Mr West’s doctor, and had transferred it to the Los Angeles Fire Department after it became a medical emergency.
He is now at the Ronald Reagan UCLA medical center, where he was taken for evaluation. The decision was “for his own health and safety,” NBC News reported. TMZ added that he taken for “psychiatric evaluation”, and had to be handcuffed to the hospital, per standard protocol.
He had shown severe signs of instability in recent weeks, including long, confusing rants at his last two Saint Pablo tour stops. He had called out and drag one-time best friends Jay-Z and Beyonce, before going on to surprisingly endorse Donald Trump.
“I am putting my career, my life, my public well-standing at risk when I talk to y’all like this,” Kanye said in a similar speech in Sacramento on Saturday. “I’ve been sitting here to give y’all my truth even at the risk of my own life. Even at the risk of my own success, my own career. I’ve been sitting here to give y’all the truth.”
Wife Kim Kardashian, who was in New York to attend Angel Ball with mom Kris Jenner and sisters Khloe and Kourtney, has reportedly flown back to Los Angeles to be with Kanye.
Messages of support are already spreading for the rapper on social media. We love you, Kanye! Be strong!
