One of the hottest big 3’s a label has ever had, Young Money’s Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj seem to be back together.
Lil Wayne had been largely out of the picture thanks to his still ongoing feud with Birdman, while Nicki and Drake were on opposite sides of the Toronto rapper’s beef with Meek Mill.
The rift between the trio was so bad that neither Lil Wayne or Nicki appeared on Drake’s Views album, the first time that would ever happen since Young Money was formed.
Things seem to finally be looking up now, as Nicki has broken up with Meek Mill, and Lil Wayne seems to be making progress on getting out his upcoming album, Tha Carter V.
Nicki broke the extremely great news on her Instagram, posting first a picture of herself and Drake, and then a picture of the Big 3 together.
Young Money president Mack Maine, who took the photos, revealed his joy at having them all back together.
“The Big 3! My family! I honestly missed this sh*t! Had to make em laugh to get that magic out! Ps Nicki take a 100 pics to get the one lol..da Queen –#2017 #Mula #UnitedWeStand—-#FreeC5,” he wrote on his Instagram.
Back in April, Drake had spoken about how Nicki’s relationship with Meek Mill meant they were no longer on speaking terms.
“I don’t really talk to Nicki,” he said in an interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe. “Again, another person that I have a lot of love for and a lot of respect, not only for our past and how much work and time we put in, but even just the way she dealt with the situation [regarding Birdman and Lil Wayne] at hand.”
He added: “I understand what love is, and I understand a personal situation. She dealt with me how I would expect her to, which was with class, and I could only ever do the same. There were points in time where I was waiting to see like, how is this going to go, how deep is your love, you know? You gotta ask yourself that.”
Will we get new music from the Big 3? They all have projects coming soon, and we hope there’ll be plenty collaborations!
