It’s been a long time coming, but Will Smith has finally returned to music with partner DJ Jazzy Jeff with a new song, Get Lit.

The song was first debuted in August, when Jazzy Jeff played it in front of nearly 20,000 people at the Livewire Music Festival.

Smith today officially released the heavy EDM-infused record on iTunes & streaming platforms.

“Been messing around in the studio and wanted to try this new track on the fans in Croatia and U.K.…. no plans, no pressure… just back to basics with DJ Jazzy Jeff! Here’s ‘Get Lit,’” the singer-actor said when he first debuted the song.

“I wanted to make a record that reminded each and every one of y’all to let your light shine,” he added.

Get Lit marks the first release from Smith musically since his Lost and Found album in 2005, and he says he has more than 30 songs recorded.

“Six or seven that I really, really like, that I’m trying to get the ideas to come out right” – in the works. “I’m shaking the rust off, knocking the dust off,” he said.
