Controversial Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has been arrested and imprisoned in Port-Harcourt over a story involving Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

Olunloyo had alleged that Ibiyeomie, Founder and Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministries, was in an adulterous relationship with popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo.

She was arrested alongside a Port-Harcourt based journalist, Samuel Walson.

A post on her Instagram after she was charged to court read in part: “I was driven by the NPF to Port Harcourt on orders of the IG. Pastor David Ibiyeomie says I criminally defamed him because I posted a letter his church member sent to me alleging corruption and adultery. Both newsmakers refused to answer the allegations but Ibiyeomie called me several times to threaten me with lawsuits, death from above and misfortune.”

Cybercrime? in the Nigerian constitution and remanded in prison. Next week 23rd I appear in court again for a second bail attempt. I will be in this Port Harcourt prison till then.”

Photos of Olunloyo and Walson have already surfaced on the internet, with the duio handcuffed together.

She has however been granted bail in the form of two hundred thousand naira with credible sureties who reside in Port Harcourt by Chief Magistrate, Alatuwo Elkanah Fubara.

She was also re-arraigned before Justice H.O Oshomah where she pleaded not guilty to the fresh charges.
