The Lagos State Police Command has promised to investigate the reported lynching of a 7-year old boy for alleged theft.
The exact location where the incident occurred is currently unknown, but photos and videos surfaced on social media early Wednesday morning. The photos showed the boy badly beaten, and later with a tire and set aflame.

Reports had claimed the incident happened in Orile-Iganmu and Badagry, with the Divisional Police Officers of both areas trying, without luck, to ascertain the truth about the incident.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Dolapo Badmos said: “Studying the video to ascertain if it occurred. Got the report through social media. If established that incident actually occurred, the command would ensure that those behind it are fished out and brought to justice.”
