The National Youth Service Corps is here to stay, according to its Director-General, Zuleman Kazaure.
Kazaure made this known in a visit to the Delta state camp at Issele-Uku, where he was represented by the Director of Mobilisation, Chief Frank Ekpunobi.
Kazaure re-stated the scheme’s initial purpose of national integration, and added that the reports of it being scrapped were the products of “poverty of information.”
He stated that the scheme was important for both the country and the individuals, as it had helped improve education, healthcare delivery and increased literacy.
What do you think? Are you in support of the NYSC being sustained or scrapped?
