A summer move for Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Puchel to Arsenal has been denied by the Premier League side.

Many fans have become disgruntled with Arsene Wenger’s reign, and are keen to see a change of leadership at the club.

A banner saying “No contract, #WengerOut” was flown over The Hawthorns during Arsenal’s match against West Bromwich Albion over the weekend.

Amid the growing discontent, German newspaper Bild reported that Arsenal had made contact with Puchel to take over the club in the summer.

A club spokesman has however denied the reports, telling Sky Sports New HQ that the story is “not true.”

He added that Wenger’s future will be “a mutual decision, which will be communicated in the right way at the right time”.
