Chelsea beat Manchester United 1 – 0 on Sunday evening, even though they should have scored more.

Stamford Bridge continues to remain a boogey venue for the Red Devils, who have only won there once in their last 16 visits.

The Blues’ lone goal came courtesy of striker Alvaro Morata, who scored a beautiful header past United shotstopper David De Gea. The goal was his 8th for Chelsea since he joined from Real Madrid in the summer.

Manchester United, who came into the game hoping to reduce Manchester City’s 8-point lead at the table, failed to create any clear cut chances all game, and struggled throughout.

City had secured a comfortable 3-1 win over Arsenal minutes before the United match, and now seem in full control of the Premier League titled race.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who didn’t shake hands with counterpart Jose Mourinho after the game,  told Sky Sports: “It’s not important. It’s important to win the game. You have to have the respect on the pitch not outside the pitch.”
