Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have already begun trash talking as their August 26 bout edges ever closer.

In their first appearance together to promote the event, Mayweather and McGregor appeared in front of press and fans in Los Angeles.

“He can’t even afford a suit anymore. His little legs, little core, little head, I’m going to knock him out inside four rounds, mark my words,” said McGregor. “I’m a young, confident, happy man that has worked extremely hard for this.”

“The movement, power, ferociousness – he has not experienced this,” said UFC lightweight champion McGregor, 28.

Mayweather replied: “I guarantee you’re going out on your face or your back.”

McGregor’s suit itself was a taunt, with the pinstripes actually made up of an expletive.

“How’s this suit look?” he laughed. “It’s a cracker. If you zoom in on the pinstripe, it says F**k you.”

He added: “All these rules and restrictions – the gloves have to be 10oz, give him the gloves, no problem. No Mexican-made gloves, no problem. No gloves made of horse hair, fine. All I need is a gum shield, line me up to the ring and I’m good to go.”

There will be 4 more promotional events in Toronto, Brooklyn, New York and London.
