A week after Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho severely complained about the state of their stadium, FC Rostov have been punished by the Russian Football Union.

Mourinho had wanted the game postponed or moved to another venue because of the terrible condition of the pitch.

“It’s still hard for me to believe we are going to play tomorrow,” Mourinho had said after UEFA had rejected a request to change venues. “I know we have to, but it is hard for me to believe we are going to play tomorrow in that field, if you can call it a field.”
