A hat-trick from Mauro Icardi was not enough to save Inter Milan as they lost 4-5 to Fiorentina in their Serie A clash.

Fiorentina scored 4 goals in 17 minutes as they looked to wrap up an impressive victory at the Artemio Franchi, but a 4-minute brace from Icardi ensured a frantic finish to an amazing game.

Matias Vecino had given the home side the lead, but Icardi and Ivan Perisic had ensured that Inter ended the first half with the lead.

The second half was even more exciting than the first, with Davide Astori starting the rampage for Fiorentina as he leveled matters in the 62nd minute.

The win puts Fiorentina one point behind seventh-placed Inter as the continue to fight for a place in Europe next season.
