Reports continue to swirl that Barcelona’s superstar winger Neymar may be headed to Ligue 1 side Paris St. Germain.

Neymar has a release clause of €222m (£196m) at Barcelona, and PSG are reportedly willing to pay it to bring him to France.

The fee is well over double of the current world transfer record, Manchester United’s £89 million pound move for Paul Pogba last summer.

Neymar is said to have approved the move, having agreed a six-year, £500,000 per week contract.

Neymar’s father is said to have recently met with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique and board member Sophie Jordan to finalize the transfer.

In another report, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly warned Neymar not to move to France, saying it would be a step backward in his career.

According to the report, Ronaldo advised Neymar to move to Manchester United, if he was so desperate to quit Camp Nou.
