A list of the most loyal footballers in Europe’s top 5 leagues has been released by CIES Football Observatory.

The list ranks players who have played for the first team in the highest number  of consecutive seasons for their respective clubs.

Unsurprisingly, sitting easily atop the list is Roma’s legendary caption, Francesco Totti, who has been playing for the club since 1993, a whooping 24 years.

Behind him is Chelsea’s John Terry, who’s spent 18.5 years at Stamford Bridge. Juventus’ legendary goalkeeper Gianlugi Buffon rounds up this impressive top three, having spent 15.5 years at the Serie A side.

In England, Manchester United’s captain Wayne Rooney is second to Terry, with Arsenal forward Theo Walcott completing the top 3.

In Spain, Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta is the most loyal at 14.5 years at the Catalan giants.
