The FIFA Best Awards held on Monday evening in London, celebrating the best of global football for the past calendar year.

Cristiano Ronaldo won the award for the Best Male Footballer of the Year, while The Netherlands‘ Lieke Martens was named Best Female Footballer.

As always, Real Madrid and Barcelona players dominated the FIFPro 11, making up 7  out of the 11 players.

The players named into the FIFPro 11 are: Juventus’ Gianlugi Buffon; Real Madrid’s Marcelo, AC Milan’s Leonardo Bonucci, Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos, Paris St. Germain’s Dani Alves; Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta, Real Madrid’s Luka Modric, Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos; Paris St. Germain’s Neymar, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane and The Netherland’s head coach Sarina Wiegman were named the Best Male and Female coaches respectively.

The Puskas Award for the best goal of the year went to Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud for his goal against Crystal Palace.
