Wolfsburg have confirmed that star winger Julian Draxler is for sale, alerting a number of Europe’s top clubs.

The 23-year old German had been kept against his wishes during the summer, and the club are finally done with dealing with his attitude. He’s been frozen out of the team, and the club placed a £30million-value on his head.

“If there are offers, then we are willing to listen to them,” Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs told Sky Sports Deutschland.

“We acted fairly and consistently, but unfortunately the situation has taken a turn for the worse. Could he be brought back into the squad? That would be difficult.”

Arsenal, Juventus and Paris St Germain have all been previously linked to Draxler, and one of them might make a move for him in January.

Bayern Munich have already revealed they won’t be making an offer, as manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed there’s no space for him.

‘Draxler is a very interesting player. Full stop. “He can play in any team. Our team is complete. We won’t do anything in winter — there’s no market for us.”

Draxler has never been shy about his desire to move on to a bigger club, and revealed that he understands fans who have been booing him over it.

“I don’t think I need to tell anybody what (being booed) does to a person. It certainly doesn’t help you,” he said recently.

“There’s no doubt it makes it hard for you to perform on the field. I can understand the fans though.

“They have every right to do that. I said in the summer the way I feel and I stand by that.”
