Superstar singer Beyonce had been billed to headline this year’s Coachella music festival, but will now instead headline next year’s edition.

This is after doctors advised Beyonce, who is pregnant with twins, to adopt a “less rigorous” schedule.

“Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival,” a statement by Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice said.

The statement added: “However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”

A replacement has not yet been announced, with Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar the other headline acts.

Lorde, the xx, Bon Iver, Future, Gucci Mane, Justice, DJ Snake, DJ Khaled and Father John Misty are also scheduled to perform.

Beyonce’s last performance was at the 2017 Grammys, where she won 2 awards for Lemonade.
