Kendrick Lamar has named Snoop Dogg’s verse on Dr. Dre’s Nuthin’ But A G Thang as the greatest rap verse of all time.

“Probably have to be Snoop Dogg’s,” said Lamar in an interview with Variety. “Hey, one, two, three, and to the four, Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre. First rap I learned.”

The song was the first single of Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, widely considered as one of the best rap albums of all time.

In a previous interview, the Compton rapper had said FEAR. off his DAMN. album was his greatest lyrical feat.

“It’s completely honest,” said Kendrick. “The first verse is everything that I feared from the time that I was 7 years old. The second verse I was 17, in the third it’s everything I feared when I was 27. These verses are completely honest.”
