Nike has released a new advert titled ‘Nothing Beats A Londoner’, highlighting the struggles of being a sportsperson in London.

The advert stars a couple of London’s young celebrities – rapper Skepta, comedian Big Shaq, and Nigeria’s Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi.

Some of the challenges included travel, weather, family pressure and the streets themselves.

Grime star Skepta hops on a Santander Cycle, Dina Asher-Smith celebrates on the track, and Mo Farah acts as an Olympic alarm clock while London’s stars of tomorrow battle early mornings, late nights, wind, rain and even an icy River Thames.

“London is a sports obsessed city and its intersection with culture sparked by the next generation of youth, is shaping a new wave of creative expression and celebration of sports,” said Nike’s Jamie McCall.

“‘Nothing Beats a Londoner’ puts a spotlight on this vibrant youth culture and a more exciting, inclusive sports community with Nike at the heart of getting more kids moving across the city.”
