Actress Carrie Fisher has passed on after suffering a heart attack on a flight to Los Angeles. She was aged 60.
Her most famous role was as Princess Leia Organa in the Star Wars franchise. She had recently completed shooting for the next movie in the franchise, Episode VIII.
The entire film industry, including stars and fans have all shared tributes for the actress of one of the most iconic roles of all time.
“She was our great and powerful princess,” said Stars Wars’ creator George Lucas. “She will be missed by all.”
“Thank you Carrie Fisher for all that you’ve given us,” tweeted the US Academy of Motion Picture Arts.

She was also supposed to star in Star Wars: Episode IX, but her death will certainly lead to some major plot changes. The movie was supposed to start shooting in 2018.
