Following his implication in the death of a crew member named Tagbo, singer Davido has come out to say his first thoughts on the matter.
The allegation had been thrown at Davido by actress Caroline Danjuma, who accused the DMW boss of dumping Tagbo’s body at the hospital and running away.
Reports allege that he died of an alochol overdose, but Danjuma is adamant that there is foul play involved in his death.
She wrote on her Instagram: “Even in death lies are being said of you .. those who knew you knew you never drink to an extent of getting drunk … the wicked shall never go unpunished .. RIP ?????.. the truth is already out .”
Davido however took to his social media to absolve himself of any blame in the matter.
He wrote: “I was deeply saddened to hear of the sudden death of my friend, Tagbo. First and foremost, my sincere condolences and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.
“I’ve been in this position before multiple times and also of recent.
“But it is also disappointing that false information and complete lies have been put out there, using my name as usual. Out of total respect for Tagbo and his family, I will not discuss this matter further for now.
“People are just wicked. This what I get for treating everyone like my brother. RIP Tagbo, God knows the truth!”
