2,682 push-ups seems like it should take a lifetime, but its the new Guinness World Record for most push-ups in an hour.
The record was set by 52-year old Welshman Carlton Williams. He originally owned the record in 2015 with 2,220, but lost in last year when someone else did 2392, and set out to reclaim it.
“I did it to prove I’m the best,” Williams said.
Williams was required to keep his hands on the floor, while lowering his body until his elbows achieved a 90 degree angle for each rep to count toward the eventual record number.
The clock did not stop throughout the hour-long attempt, but Williams did occasionally take breaks to sit and breathe.
