The 50 Hottest Nigerian Songs of 2017: 50 – 41

Without much ado, check the next 10 out below.

40. 2Baba – Gaga Shuffle: One of the more veteran acts in this list, 2Baba still knows how to drop a massive hit.

39. Timaya – Dance feat. Rudeboy: Another veteran act on this year’s countdown, Timaya had a pretty good year in 2017, and doesn’t even look like slowing down.

38. D’banj – It’s Not A Lie feat. Harrysong & Wande Coal: Seems this is where all our veterans are, eh? D’banj seems to be struggling to get the hits off in recent times, but Harrysong and Wande Coal did enough to get this bop on our charts.

37. Wizkid & Mut4y – Manya: Wizkid had a superb 2017, becoming the first African to ever win the MOBO award for Best International Act, and this collaboration with Mut4y of Legendury Beatz was his last offering before winning the award.

36. Tekno – Go: Tekno found his way into the Davido – Wizkid beef that went on for most of the year, and dropped this peaceful jam amidst all the insults from Wizkid’s camp.

35. Simi – Joromi: Simi released her first album since bursting into the spotlight this year, and Joromi was one of the singles that foretold the greatness that Simisola would be.

34. Wizkid – Medicine: Shortly after the release of Sounds Of The Other Side, Wizkid went on a music-releasing spree. One of the better ones from the wave was this Masterktaft-produced banger.

33. Tiwa Savage – Ma Lo feat. Wizkid: Tiwa Savage released a 5-track EP to close off the year, and it was full of hits reminding us why she’s Nigeria baddest female artiste. Ma Lo was one of those hits.

32. Tekno – Rara: His follow-up to last year’s smash hit Pana, Tekno brings out his inner Fela on this jam, as he sings about the problems of his country.

31. Seyi Shay – Yolo Yolo: She had a relatively quiet 2017 compared to 2016, but Seyi still had this jam which was a chart topper for most of the 1st half of 2017.
