President Muhammad Buhari has approved a reduction in the price of forms for the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exam.

The decision was announced Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education during the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

The forms for the National Examinations Council (NECO), Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination were also reduced.

The change will take effect from January 2019.

The cost of JAMB UTME form will now cost N3,500 instead of N5,000, while for NECO it will drop from N11,350, to N9,850.
