Long-standing e-commerce site DealDey has reportedly shut down operations.
The platform, known for its variety of deals for both goods and services, reportedly began a shut down of its services in December 2018.
The company’s website and social media pages have been dormant since early December, and multiple reports now confirm that the site has been shut down.
Techpoint.Africa adds that the company has shut its offices and let all of its staff go.
The company was founded by serial entrepreneur Sim Shagaya in 2011, and was acquired by the Ringier Africa Deals Group for $5 million.
E-commerce sites have struggled in Nigeria, with the likes of Efritin and OLX already having to shut down operations in the country.
