The whistle-blower who called the EFCC’s notice to over N13 billion in an Ikoyi apartment is set to be paid his due.

According to the Federal Government’s whistle-blower policy, any informant is due between 2.5% and 5% of the recovered sum.

“The money for the payment of the Ikoyi whistle-blower is ready and that money is ready for release this week,” Punch Newspaper quoted a source as saying. The amount to be paid is N421,330,595.

“A directive has already been issued that the money should be released to the whistle-blower and that will be done before the end of the week.”

The whistle blowers had previously taken the FG to court over the delay in the payment of the fee, and the fear of being shortchanged.
