The family of embattled senator Dino Melaye is yet to come to terms with life following his arrest.
Melaye’s house was barricaded by the police and electricity to the house was cut before he finally surrendered.
Despite the arrest, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) failed to restore power to the house, according to Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.
So after @dino_melaye surrendered himself to @PoliceNG, the Police did a thorough search of his house & found nothing. Yet, the police have refused AEDC from reconnecting his power. Currently, Dino’s kids are left to sleep in darkness and under very horrific conditions.

His son, Josh, corroborated the story, saying they’ve also had to buy drinking water.
He wrote on his Instagram: “We have no light at home, we buy water to drink. The police restricts visitors from visiting us. We’re in hard times. Please pray your lives. @ruth_melaye barely eats anything since Dad was arrested.”
