Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has revealed that he’s prepared to let Antoine Griezmann leave the club, if he wishes.
Manchester United were hot on the heels of the star Frenchman last summer, but he opted to stay in Spain after Atletico were handed a transfer ban.
“I love my players a lot and I love to see them grow. I am not ungrateful.
“If a player comes to me and says: ‘coach, I have a once in a lifetime chance to play for a certain team, I want to leave’.
“If he did all he could for me as Griezmann does, I’ll say it’s no problem. I know that he needs to grow.
Barcelona are also said to be interested in Griezmann, following the £200million transfer of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.
