Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal suffered an adductor problem in Chile’s goalless draw with Colombia, and club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is wary of the situation.
Bayern Munich face rivals Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga after the international break, and Rummenigge would like to have his star midfielder available for what would be a tough clash.
Vidal was forced to leave the field towards the end of the match, but will most likely start Chile’s World Cup qualifier against Uruguay on Tuesday, something Rummenigge isn’t happy about.
“Bayern Munich are very worried about Arturo Vidal’s health,” Rummenigge told Bild. “We urge the Chilean Football Association to deal with this situation responsibly and sensibly.
“It should be a given that the player’s health is top priority.”
