Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna is in hot water for an Instagram post he made after City’s 2-1 win over Burnley.

The Citizens had been controversially reduced to 10 men after referee Lee Mason had sent off Fernandinho in the first half.

City still went on to to win the game, thanks to second half goals from Gael Clichy and Sergio Aguero. After the game, Sagna posted a picture of the squad with the caption: “10 against 12.. but still fighting and winning as a team #together #mancity”.

He has since deleted the post, but that hasn’t saved him from being contacted by the FA. He has been given till 5pm on Friday to respond, according to the BCC.

He posted the same photo later, this time captioning it: “still fighting and winning as a team. #together #mancity #youfreetothinkwhateveryouwant”.
