Tiote played for the Magpies for 7 years, with his only Premier League goal coming in Newcastle’s 4-4 draw with Arsenal.
He didn’t fit into new manager Rafa Benitez’s plans, and he left for China in January this year.
Just earlier this year, Tottenham youth coach and former England star Ugo Ehiogu collapsed at the club’s training ground.
The 44-year-old later passed away of a suspected cardiac arrest.
