German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 have completed the signing of Nigerian striker, Anthony Ujah.

Mainz gave Ujah a three-and-a-half year contract as they signed him from Chinese side Liaoning Hongyun for an undisclosed fee.

Ujah is no stranger to the club, having played for the club for two years between 2011 and 2013.

A statement by the club reads: “Anthony Ujah will be playing again for Mainz 05 from the second half of the season. The 27-year-old attacker from Liaoning FC, signed a three-and-a-half deal until the summer of 2021.”

He joins Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun, who also plays for Die Nullfünfer.
