Manchester United made good on their word to honor 7 fans of the club who died at a viewing center in Calabar, Cross River state in Nigeria.
About 80 people were watching United’s 2-1 victory over Anderlecht at a public viewing centre when a high tension wire fell on the building.
7 people died in the incident, with 10 more sustaining serious injuries.
The club had promised to wear black armbands to honor them, and did so as they faced Swansea in their Premier League match.
The match ended 1-1, with goals from Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson for each side.
