The Nigerian bobsled team begun their historic campaign at the 2018 Winter Games on Friday.

They became the first African nation to participate in the event, with Seun Adigun, Akuoma Omeoga and Ngozi Onwumere making up the historic team.

Their first heats haven’t gone so well though, as they finished bottom of the pack in both Heats 1 and 2.

Adigun and Omeoga finished 3.07 seconds behind first placed Canada in their first heat, posting a time of 54.18 seconds.

They finished the second heat in a better time of 53.49, but were still consigned to the last place.

Still, we’re super proud of you ladies! Go, Nigeria!
