Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi was named the Man of the Match after Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Zambia in Uyo.
Abdullahi, who plays for Cypriot side Anorthosis Famagusta, was given N1 million for his performance.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)’s new partners, Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group, also gave him 10 bags of Big Bull Rice to be donated to a charity of his choice.
The Super Eagles secured the 2018 world cup qualification on Saturday evening with a game to spare in Group B with Alex Iwobi’s lone goal in the 74th minute.
Nigeria now has 13 points at the top of Group and an unassailable six-point lead ahead of Zambia, with one round of games left.
They join other countries like Brazil, Spain, Mexico, England, Germany, Iran and South Korea who have also booked their places at next year’s tournament.
