The title of the most watched video ever on YouTube now officially belongs to Wiz Khalifa for his song, See You Again.
For 5 years, the record belonged to Korean pop sensation Psy, whose Gangnam Style video was a viral sensation all over the world.
See You Again features Charlie Puth, and is a soundtrack for the 7th installment in the Fast & Furious franchise.
The video currently has 2,908,379,462 views, pushing Gangnam Style, with its 2,897,514,795 views to second place.
Gangnam Style was the first video to ever reach one billion views on YouTube
“See You Again” averaged over three million views per day, just this year alone.
“I’m super excited and grateful to everyone who supported the song and video on YouTube, and happy to inspire and impact so many lives,” rapper Khalifa said in a statement.
“I remember when I signed up for YouTube in 2007 and had hopes of uploading a video and it reaching 10,000 views,” Puth said. “Now a decade later, it feels incredible to be a part of the most-viewed video on YouTube.”
